Mavericks

After using Mavericks for almost one week now, I have gotten a pretty good overview over the new features. Not those that Apple claim will "revolutionize" the way you use your computer, but those new features that you actually benefit from.

The coolest thing I spotted immediately after downloading Mavericks was; that when you load a web page, the search bar has a fading blue instead of just one blue color all the way. It looks much nicer.

One of the things that I don't like is that you can not use your magic mouse anymore to go back and forth on a web page. Now you actually have to click the"back" button, If you know what I mean.

As you see, I am just going to burst out what I don't like and like about Mavericks in key points.
The next thing I have seen is different is that you can categorize your documents. So you can actually tag your documents with family, work etc and those documents will automatically be placed in one folder.

You now got iBooks. For those of you who use iBooks, iBooks is now on the mac. Did I mentioned that Apple have added iBooks on your mac.

Another app they have added is maps. You can now schedule your route or just randomly cruise the map and visit exotic placed you want to go to.
Adding maps to the mac also means that developers can integrate a map into their application. An example is when you are using Mail. Mail will schedule a meeting and calculate how long time you will need to get to the meeting. It will then add that time to the start time of the meeting and bam, without no effort you got your travel distance calculated in.

To be honest I don't really see that much difference. Of course if you search out the new functions and use them regularly you are going to see a difference. If not, you are going to have the same experience as you did before, with some spice added to it, but if you consider that Mavericks is free, the upgrade is worth the money.
So upgrade to Mavericks now (if you haven't already) for 0.00$ by clicking right here.
